It was our pleasure to collaborate with Factory International to bring the Guardian 5-star reviewed week-long KAGAMI performance to Manchester International Festival in July 2023. The groundbreaking mixed reality concert event was created by the legendary composer and musician, the late Ryuichi Sakamoto, in collaboration with Tin Drum. We supported them in bringing this immersive experience to a live audience in Studios 8 and 12 at VERSA Manchester Studios.
Over six months, we worked as production partners with the team to ensure the smooth delivery of the event, providing acoustically optimized studio spaces. The performance seamlessly combined cutting-edge technology with musical prowess, where audiences were equipped with headsets to witness a cinematic, dimensional Sakamoto performing on piano alongside virtual art specially created to complement each song.
