VERSA Studios x Cloud Imperium Games x CitizenCon: Pushing the Boundaries of Motion Capture.

It was great to be at CitizenCon, which returned bigger than ever for 2954, landing at Manchester Central on October 19th and 20th.

The two-day extravaganza brought a pan-galactic celebration of the incredible gaming community to the heart of Manchester. Building on last year’s phenomenal show, CitizenCon 2954 proved to be even more expansive and immersive, offering a full weekend event.

VERSA was especially excited to partner with Cloud Imperium Games for this year’s CitizenCon, hosted at the Manchester Central Convention Complex.

As part of this collaboration, VERSA Studios and Cloud Imperium Games joined forces to launch a cutting-edge motion and performance capture studio. This facility, based in Manchester, is designed to serve the Film, VFX, and Gaming industries.

Construction of the 4,300 sq ft studio began in June 2022, providing Cloud Imperium Games with a dedicated space to expand their UK operations. The new studio has already played a pivotal role in the development of their acclaimed titles, including Squadron 42 and Star Citizen, utilising the latest in motion capture technology to deliver exceptional gaming experiences.
